Jordi Maranges, the former singer of El diablo en el Ojo (one of the most interesting bands on the Spanish indie scene in the late 90s and early 00s), presents a new e.p. under the umbrella of the Madrid label FEP producciones. It will be on January 28 and can be enjoyed on all digital platforms. Sentimental vol II (that's the title) is a heartfelt tribute to the world of discos, nightclubs, those spaces of freedom and fantasy that Covid has sadly stolen from us. In it we will find influences from artists such as Giorgio Moroder, John Grant, Róisín Murphy, Carlos Berlanga, among others. His lyrics are a hymn to non-exclusive loves, to new ways of relating emotionally, to open love without a marital accent. Activism and dance with sublime refrains, vibrant sequencers and plenty of pop epic for a hit-minded breaker. Sentimental was recorded and mixed at the Favela studios in Palma de Mallorca during this pandemic summer with the production of Michael Mesquida and Jordi Maranges himself. The e.p. It is accompanied by two remixes of Sentimental by DJ Moderno and the Majorcan nxFaith (Albert Oliver). It will also include a very special and emotional version (almost like a requiem for the closing of clubs this year) of the classic 90s eurodance Rhythm of the night in Catalan.
